CONTEXT

Small to medium-sized businesses are searching for digital strategies to foster loyalty and incentivize repeated visits and purchases from their customers.

To be considered in today’s competitive SaaS market, a solution must be designed for keeping both the merchant (business) and final user (customer) in mind.

An ideal product is one that can be seamlessly incorporated into a business’ existing operation and is also engaging and easy-to-use for customers.

BORN FROM DEMAND

During my first year of developing mobile engagement solutions involving Mobile Wallet Passes, I noticed a pattern of features frequently being requested by clients. At the same time we were constantly wiring campaigns together with backend code, taking more time and resources than necessary. I decided that it was time we designed and developed a UI that would allow clients to create and customize their own Loyalty Programs.

These were the requested features:

DESIGNING for the MERCHANT

My initial goal was to create a self-service platform for merchants to customize their own Loyalty Programs without the need of a Project Manager or Back-end engineer to write any code.

Merchant Journey

Having complex product features and requirements, the merchant’s interaction with Loyappty must be minimal but highly configurable in order to fit any business operations that would find having Loyalty Program beneficial.

Initial Wireframes

Due to the ambiguity of the technical skills an owner of a small business might have, it was important to keep it simple. The Loyalty Program creation process must give the merchant full control whilst offering limited options. It must allow a merchant to open an account and create a Loyalty Program in less than 15 minutes.

MOBILE-FIRST EXPERIENCE

To entice a customer into joining a Loyalty Program, benefits offered from the business must be realistic to reach, lucrative and worthwhile.

A mobile-first designed solution is required to keep today’s customer engaged and accustomed to a Loyalty Program, where they can directly interact and be engaged from their own smartphones. By offering this, customers can enroll, earn points instantly at the point of purchase, view total earned points, manage and claim rewards from their mobile devices.

Customer Journey

We live in an age where time is everything. Therefore, the customer onboarding and interaction with Loyalty Program must be seamless and easy.

Loyappty Pass Hand

Although many still are not aware that a native-Wallet application exists inside of their phone, adoption ratees to using Mobile Wallet Passes has increased in my last 3 years of creating mobile engagement solutions.

CURRENT SOLUTION

We have been able to create a 100% self-service solution that allows small businesses the ability to create their own digital Loyalty Program in less than 15 minutes. Accompanying scanning redemption solutions for Clover POS users + KIOSK Mobile App for any type of Business to utilize.

Mobile Application to scan QR’s inside of Mobile Wallet Passes. Eliminates the need for expensive hardware/systems or complicated integrations. This App turns any smartphone or tablet into a scanning and redemption device. Ideal for small-sized businesses that do not necessarily have a structured Redemption system but would like to offer digital engagement solutions for their customers.
